PMS Support Cacao Smoothie

Some days before my period, I crave something extra creamy and calming… and this smoothie is exactly that!

The cacao gives you a natural magnesium boost to ease cramps and support mood, while the tahini brings healthy fats, minerals, and lignans that help your hormones feel more balanced in the days where everything feels a bit more sensitive.

Plus the tahini adds this soft, nutty, slightly toasty flavour that makes the whole smoothie taste like a creamy cacao milkshake…. YUM!

1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
1 tablespoon tahini
1 half cup frozen blueberries (can be fresh)
1 scoop protein powder
1 tablespoon almond butter (or other nut butter)
1 half banana
1 cup milk or unsweetened nut milk
Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds
Add all ingredients to a blender, blend until smooth and creamy, and enjoy!
